Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Crack in Windshield
A plane carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday following a fracture was discovered in the jet's front window, according to an announcement which stated that Hegseth was safe.
"The plane touched down following standard procedures and all passengers, such as Secretary Hegseth, is safe," an official representative said in a online announcement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to Brussels during the flight.
This occurrence does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a senior official has suffered technical problems.
Months ago, a US Air Force plane ferrying the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was compelled to turn back to Washington after encountering a mechanical fault.
