British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Tragic Car Crash
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, local government spokespeople announced on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident in the Lagos area on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.
Recovering from Minor Injuries
The boxer had been under observation while healing from his light wounds, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.
“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two friends who passed away as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.
A Tribute to the Fallen
The two men who died were confirmed to be Latif Ayodele, Joshua's trainer, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. The official further stated that the champion was filled with sorrow and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two trusted companions.”
The news of his discharge arrives after the global fight fans offered condolences for the champion in the following the devastating accident.
